Sitar & Tabla Duo: Ref WM131920Entertain guests with mesmerising traditional Indian music.
The Sitar is a long necked string instrument played in North Indian classical and film music, as well as Western fusion music. This instrument belongs to the lute class of chordophones and has been popularised by Ravi Shankar around the world. It can be accompanied by the tabla, a set of two drums played by hand and again traditionally used in Northern Indian Classical Music. Together the instruments create a wonderfully relaxing ambiance. For a fusion feel, the duo can be combined with a flute or saxophone. Roisin Donnelly The Khan Family |
