With an eclectic blend of musical ideas, this band mix typical restaurant style Odessa music and Soviet melodies, Klezmer motives along with Balkan tunes all performed with a large dose of humour and underpinned by traditional, swing jazz.

A Brief History...

SOVIET INTELLIGENCE working undercover has infiltrated Tzarist Balls and so-called Russian Theme Parties in decadent West. They uncovered excessive use of reactionary balalaika orchestras and dissident Cossack Dancee Troupes. Not putting a fine point on it, the revolution is coming, and you would be advised to make acquaintance instead with this dedicated Marxist-Leninist band of musicians!

This is band in seven pieces trained to highest standards in top secret Moscow Conservatoire of Swing to combine ideologically correct Russian folk themes with proletarian 1940's swing jazz. Bourgeois western jazz musicians will hang heads in shame when hearing this band, and audiences will be dancing away with the night, waving red flags, and leave renewed, reborn, heroes of the revolutionary struggle, disciples of Lenin!

Band's ruthless dedication to overthrow of capitalism and parliamentary democracy is disguised by on-stage bonhomie, detente towards audience, and general appearance of "Good-time Band"
