Spanish/Latin Guitar Collective: Ref SLG200703

Two virtuoso guitarists and a double bass form a core ensemble. They can be joined by a spirited brew of young musicians to make a vibrant collective.

Moving through jazz, gypsy, hotclub, flamenco, classical and even film influences, the collective is based on two acoustic guitars, set alongside double bass with the addition of flute, violin, plus trumpets, clarinet, and percussion depending upon the size and nature of your event.

Touching on the influences and new arrangements of works by such luminaries as Paco de Lucia, Django Reinhardt, Ennio Morricone and Horace Silver, they also perform self-penned compositions and arrangements, and music by their longstanding musical guru.

In keeping with form, the collective appeared before another full house for their opening performance last September, at the Stratford-upon-Avon Music Festival, and have since made their way across the channel to perform at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France; to Bilbao in Spain; and throughout the UK, from Edinburgh to London, to Cheltenham and Glasgow.

"You could almost smell the tapas and feel the warm breeze on your face.

The young musicians had loads of connection with one another, playing with verve and energy. It was particularly nice to hear the two guitars with no accompaniment for Take 5.
And Salsa Blues and Jazz, these guys played it all, with great aplomb."
