Cocktail Saxophonist Ref: CS1319

If you are looking for live background music this cocktail saxophone player is the perfect accompaniment to reception and banqueting events. His sound is warm and familiar with a subtle Bossa Nova groove, and being unintrusive - the ideal choice for live music through drinks reception, wedding breakfast and hospitality functions.

He has a broad repertoire but always with an emphasis on well-known tunes. His sound is warm and cheerful but at the same time mellow and unintrusive. As a professional multi-instrumentalist and arranger, he also records his own arrangements for his unique easy-listening backings.

In addition to his coctail saxophone repertoire he also gives the Fab Four’s music the Bossa Nova treatment from upbeat samba versions of “Can’t Buy Me Love” and “Hard Day’s Night” to swaying sultry versions of ballads like “In My Life” and George Harrison’s “Something”. There is a familiarity to the blend of his mellow saxophone style and Lennon & McCartney’s unmistakable melodies, almost as though they were written for sax.

His Beatles sax set is the perfect addition to any Beatles or Sixties themed event. The set is 60 minutes but can be included in a longer set featuring other classics from his extensive repertoire.

Should you be looking for a Bond theme, he also plays all the explosive themes from James Bond movies from “Goldfinger” right up-to-date to “You Know My Name” from Casino Royale. There are also mellow cocktail ballad versions of many themes such as “View To A Kill” and “Man With The Golden Gun” specially arranged for a quieter background music set. He has also explored the movies to find the most memorable John Barry soundtracks such as “Mr Wint & Mr Kidd” from Diamonds Are Forever and “Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” from Thunderball.

He can play upto 100 minutes of Bond movie music and, if required, add other music from his extensive repertoire to provide up to 3 hours playing time.
