African and African Caribbean Dance Drum and Song is a Story telling of the history, legends and traditions of Africa. This group celebrate the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Africa with pride, and enhance cross-cultural knowledge and appreciation of Africa's unique Story as brought to life via the arts.
They perform African and African Caribbean cultural Dance, Drum, Song and Folklore. They perform at corporate and launch events, schools and community events, Arts festivals and events. Rather than focus on just one specific region, the group can take you on a journey through the traditional Dance, Drum, Song and Folklore of many countries of both Africa and the Caribbean. Performances are lively, authentic, engaging and colourful, bringing the history, culture and legends of Africa to life through vibrant music and movement. Members have been working together for many years to bring you co-ordinated, authentic African arts performances, and structured courses and workshops. Each dance member has several years African arts performance and tuition experience gained in Africa, the Caribbean, and the UK.
I wanted to say a massive thank you to the band and dancers, you have all been amazing and very helpful. They were truly fantastic, they really were and such a pleasure to be around even when they were not dancing and drumming. Our guests enjoyed the entertainment very much and were mesmerised by the dancing, and had fun joining in too. Panacea Nightclub Manchester, April 2007 Just to say a big 'THANK YOU' for Saturday evening, you were all spectacular! What entertainment, skills and energy I could not have wished for anything better. You all made my party and really got everyone in the mood for dancing later on. For me it was a truly memorable 50th birthday party. Thank you once again Sue Siddle, March 2007
Thanks for the fantastic and inspiring drum workshop North Bridge House School, January 2007 Thanks once again to you and your performers for a wonderful performance today. Both the young people and the staff are still 'buzzing' and talking about it! Royal Bethlem Hospital October 2006 Thank you so much for helping to create a wonderful and memorable day for our family, and guests. From the delight on guests' faces, their leaping up and down, the applause - I know they were enchanted by your performances. Thank you for giving us the joy of experiencing your art. P.
